Business Spotlight: Beehive Handmade

Sandra Bonazoli and Jim Dowd, the duo behind Beehive Handmade, began their metalsmithing journey two decades ago in art school, where a shared passion blossomed into both a partnership and a business. Their Warren studio produces a range of meaningful handcrafted products, from personalized baby gifts to elegant homewares, all reflecting their commitment to thoughtful design and traditional craftsmanship.

What are some of the items a customer can expect to find in your store?
Our shop is a great place to find  the best selection of our modern and classic home goods, custom engraved jewelry, pewter Holiday ornaments, and personalized baby gifts made right here.

Most of what you sell is handmade. Do you also carry items from other makers?
In addition to our own work we also carry handmade items to compliment our products, such as beeswax candles, colorful linens, wooden kitchenware, and baby gifts.

What do you love about being a part of the Warren business community?
Warren has a fantastic mix of interesting, unique, and cool businesses — it’s a pleasure to be part of a town like no other!

What is your idea of a perfect day in Warren?
An outdoor coffee and pastry at ByWater Bakeshop, a productive day at work in the studio, stepping out for a book at InkFish, and either drinks and snacks at Archive or a picnic at the town beach.

What’s new at the Beehive? Anything you’d like to celebrate or share?

Yes! We’re starting to roll out our new collection of modern nautical brass jewelry: Sailors Valentine! Join us Saturday June 21st, 11am-5pm, at Sayles Livingston Home in Tiverton for our first trunk show!
