Folks Fest is one of Warren’s most beloved summer traditions—a lively, open-air celebration of music, art, food, and community. Hosted by The Collaborative, this free, family-friendly festival brings together locals and visitors alike for a day of creativity and connection in the heart of town.
Set in a relaxed, outdoor setting, Folks Fest features a full afternoon of live entertainment across multiple stages. The music spans a wide range of styles, from folk and indie to funk, rock, and global-inspired sounds, alongside performances that often include dance, spoken word, and interactive acts. With something happening throughout the day, it’s an experience designed for all ages and attention spans.
In addition to the performances, an open-air artisan market showcases a diverse mix of local makers and creatives. Visitors can browse everything from handmade jewelry and ceramics to textiles, prints, and specialty goods—making it a perfect place to discover unique, locally crafted pieces.
Food is a major part of the experience, with a rotating lineup of local vendors and food trucks offering crowd favorites like tacos, sandwiches, seafood, ice cream, baked goods, and other seasonal treats. A beer garden featuring local brews and beverages is typically part of the festivities, adding to the laid-back, social atmosphere.
Bring the dog. And your kids. And your neighbor’s. And your fun uncle. This is a true community celebration, where everyone is welcome. Whether you’re here for the music, the art, or the beer—there’s something for everyone (except your cat—sorry, cats). Parking is limited, but good news we’re on the bus line and just a short walk or bike ride from the East Bay Bike Path. Free bike valet provided by Recycle-A-Bike.
