Business Spotlight

Maddy and Spencer Desiata, both born and raised in Rhode Island, met at the gym in 2019 and began their careers as personal trainers. During the pandemic, they moved to South Carolina and shifted to online coaching, helping clients across the country improve their health.
For lifelong friends Korto Tawse-Butha and Sara-Beth Warner, the FairyTea Room is a dream come true. Their vision was simple yet meaningful: a cozy space where people can gather to slow down, savor a cup of tea, and connect in a way that modern life rarely allows.
Sandra Bonazoli and Jim Dowd, the duo behind Beehive Handmade, began their metalsmithing journey two decades ago in art school, where a shared passion blossomed into both a partnership and a business.
Housed in a beautifully renovated two-story building at the historic Town Wharf, Trafford Restaurant is owned by Russell Goyette and his wife Sherri Miles.
Nest opened in 2021 with a curated selection of owner Gretchen Coleman’s favorite home decor items. Now, she has added women’s clothing to the mix. We caught up with her on what’s new.
